Εxhibition BAU2015 GSG Siccona
The innovative system Siccona the structural window,
participating in the BAU 2015 exhibition in Munich - Germany from
the 19 to 24 January under the auspices of
named GSG Siccona All Glass Window system.
The concept behind the GSG Siccona, clearly stands out for its modern architectural approach and its response to modern demands for energy saving, personal comfort and a high safety factor.
The development of the GSG Siccona All Glass Window system was based on the innovative «Structural» technology, which has been widely used worldwide with great success for years now in curtain wall applications internationally.
In this system, glazing is a single structural element which fully integrates the outer and inner surface of the sheet glass from edge to edge. Thus the system acquires a fully integrated compact structure - instead of the usual loose-fitting installation where the glazing simply slides into the aluminum frame. This means unparalleled functionality, extremely high durability, complete weatherproofing and at the same time adds a unique aesthetic perfection to the overall architectural design of any building.
The opening GSG Siccona All Glass Window system offers excellent heat transfer coefficients (U-values) and is also classed in the highest ranking categories established by EU directive EN 14351-1 with regard to other criteria (such as watertight protection, protection against wind penetration, wind load, etc.).
The system (with actual dimensions of 1.00 x 2.20m with Argon gas) has passed all the necessary tests prescribed by the European directive at the most stringent European standard test center, IFT Rosenheim, where it demonstrated excellent performance in all tested parameters.
Because of the high quality specifications of the HAUTAU mechanism, GSG Siccona All Glass Window sliding systems can support loads of up to 400kg/panel. This means that the maximum sheet glass dimensions for double glazing are 10m² and for triple glazing 7.5 m². Their guide rail system can be fully set into the floor, leaving only the inox roller guide rail protruding (5mm).
The GS Siccona offers guaranteed all-weather protection - thanks to the almost full coverage of its exterior glazing, heavy duty EPDM-type perimeter seals, as well as its integrated steel perimeter multi-locking Roto mechanism (opening system) or the ultimate smooth installation offered by Hautau rollers (sliding system).
Also where GSG Siccona double glazing systems do not use Argon, an automatic two-way valve is used to stabilise internal pressure of the gap between the panes of glass and external atmospheric pressure when the pressure difference between them exceeds 80 millbar.
The result is unparalleled functionality and the exceptional minimalist, crystal clear, light and airy appearance of GSG Siccona systems, both inside and out.
